It's a revolution: the capital of Languedoc is directly connected with the Russian capital. Ural Airlines is opening this Montpellier-Moscow route, offering 3 flights per week from next June 2nd.
This is big news, both now and for the future: from June 2 to October 26 for this first season, Montpellier Mediterranée Airport will be directly linked to Moscow-Domodedovo Airport. What's more, Ural Airlines offers extremely attractive fares - from €95 per one-way ticket (*) – in addition to as very convenient days and times: every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
Commenting on the opening of the Moscow-Montpellier flight, Kirill Skuratov, Deputy General Manager and Sales Director of Ural Airlines, said: "We are pleased to add Montpellier to our network and to offer passengers a new airline route in France.Montpellier, Languedoc and the Camargue offer a fantastic opportunity for our customers to discover a fascinating new destination. For many Russians, this part of southern France remains unexplored. In addition to the inviting coastline, our customers will be able to enjoy elegant and abundant architectural richness, magnificent natural sites, exciting museums, ancient monuments of major interest and a rich cultural heritage. Russian tourists will certainly appreciate all this. At the same time, I am pleased that Ural Airlines has made Montpellier Airport the gateway to Russia. I hope that many people from Montpellier, Languedoc and Occitania will fly to discover our fantastic city of Moscow. From Montpellier, a one-way ticket with a single piece of cabin baggage of 5kg is available from €95 (*)."
"We are pleased and proud that Montpellier is becoming the only point of entry into Occitania for direct air traffic to and from Russia," said Emmanuel Brehmer, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Montpellier Méditerranée Airport. Our satisfaction is enhanced by the fact that this new Montpellier/Moscow route is operated by Ural Airlines, one of the leading airlines in Russian commercial aviation. This opening is the result of several years of intense work, and we will be able to mobilize an entire territory to best welcome these thousands of new tourists. There is no doubt that they will be sensitive to what characterizes us: authenticity and modernity, traditions and avant-garde, celebration and culture, coastline and hinterland, beaches and historic city centres. I also know that many inhabitants of Montpellier and its vast region, whether for tourist or professional reasons, will be seduced by this direct connection to the mythical Russian capital."
